About the Health Care Solutions Group
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
To ensure that the Solutions Group provides distinctive value to the health
care industry, it will:
- Go beyond “thinking” of solutions to create strategies and recommendations for how solutions can be executed
- Involve individuals across all sectors of health care to look for common interests and solutions
- Make its research findings and other work products freely available to all stakeholders
- Utilize existing networks and spheres of influence whenever possible
- Actively facilitate demonstration projects and early prototypes
- Refrain from lobbying efforts
GOALS
The Health Care Solutions Group goal is to lead and support improvement of
the U.S. health care system by:
- Bringing focus to fundamental changes needed
- Serving as a clearinghouse for up-to-date accurate information relevant to health care
- Proposing and demonstrating implementable solutions
- Facilitating the sharing of knowledge and solutions
- Identifying specific policy changes to improve health outcomes and use of health care resources
KEY ACTIVITIES
The Health Care Solutions Group was created to lead and support the improvement
of the U.S. health care system by focusing on fundamental changes, testing
proposed solutions in real-world environments, and sharing knowledge and
results.
The Health Care Solutions Group is driven by industry leaders
across sectors
and across the country to:
- Be the “Go To” place for timely, accurate health care industry information
- Serve as a neutral, non-partisan sounding board for government leaders and policy makers
- Develop and test real solutions to health care's greatest challenges
- Analyze the value of various solutions and approaches used across the country
- Be the place where the best minds intent on improving the health care system meet, discuss, explore and test solutions.
The Health Care Solutions Group was created in 2005 through a partnership between the Nashville Health Care Council and Vanderbilt University.
